A Fairer Scotland for Disabled People Employment Action Plan – year 2 report published

"The Principles into Practice Trial Programme … will provide a mechanism to create and deliver collective solutions, and to drive good practice, thereby helping to ensure that all young people receive appropriate support and are offered choices at points of transition, in order to reach their full potential."

Principles into Practice is referenced under one of three key themes addressed by the Scottish Government’s A Fairer Scotland for Disabled People: Employment Action Plan, which has published its second annual update.

The Plan was published in 2018 with the aim of halving the disability employment gap by 2038. Its identified areas of action are young people and transitions; supporting disabled people to enter employment; and supporting employers to recruit and retain disabled people.
